Ncinci Ones Montessori’s main objective is “Giving rural children the best educational start to life”. The majority of our children complete the 3-year Montessori cycle at Ncinci Ones, coming to us as young toddlers aged 2.5 – 3 years and leaving us as confident, happy, well-balanced 6 year olds with strong educational foundations.
After graduating from Ncinci Ones Montessori, the children transition easily into Grade 1 at one of the two Junior Secondary Schools in the surrounding areas.
In March this year, I got a bee in my bonnet about our main objective – are we succeeding with this task? I asked our one Guide, Luyolokazi, to please get us 4 random December 2022 reports for ex-Ncinci Ones, one from each grade. She succeeded in getting a Grade 1, Grade 3 and Grade 4 year-end report for three of our ex-Ncinci Ones.
WOW – what a super surprise! Their strong educational foundations were paying off greatly, even for the Grade 4 pupil.
The Grade 1 pupil had 27% higher than the class average, over all subject areas.
The Grade 3 pupil has 16% higher than the class average, over all subject areas.
The Grade 4 pupil had 14% higher than the class average, over all subject areas.
When our two local guides saw these report cards, their faces beamed and then broke into huge smiles – it was very heart-warming to observe.
